Therapeutic Horticulture

Cumberland Creative offers hands-on, directed recreational activities to anyone who is interested, including clients of group homes/day programs, residents at seniors homes or other groups at any age or ability.

Therapeutic horticulture is the "process through which participants enhance their well-being through active or passive involvement in plant and plant-related activities."  It really is an opportunity to play with plants together in a safe and comfortable environment.

Ginelle will visit your group with supplies and plants ready for each client to create something to keep and enjoy. Small or large seasonal activities include floral arrangements, container gardens, wreaths, herb pots, topiaries or other plant or floral projects. Each session is approximately 1 hour in length plus time for set-up and clean up before and after the activity.
